DEVONTA FREEMAN SUPER BOWL: Atlanta Falcons star still upset with Super Bowl LI loss, says he would have been MVP

ATLANTA – With bitter defeat still on his mind, Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman says he would have been Super Bowl MVP if he would have stayed in the game. “I hate to go there, but I was supposed to be the MVP this year of the Super Bowl, but it’s all good, we got another shot,” Freeman told SiriusXM NFL Radio with Brady Quinn and Bruce Murray on Wednesday. The Falcons squandered a 28-3 lead early in the 3rd quarter before eventually losing 34-28 in overtime. Talking with Quinn and Murray, Freeman touched on his contract negotiations, the Falcons’ Super Bowl loss and adjusting to new offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian.  TRENDING STORIES: Gunman kidnaps family, forces them to shop
