PFC Rookie Blogs : Josh Lenz WR Iowa State

The week has been going pretty well. This past week was a deloaded week for us, now we’ll be amping it back up again for another three weeks or so. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we usually work a lot of technique stuff for the 40, pro agility, and 3 cone. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are usually our lifting days – working on a lot of stuff for our bench and also a lot of leg/hip work for our explosion. Outside of that, we hit some extra auxiliary lifts and do position drills, on our own, throughout the week.
As far as my dieting goes, I really started watching what I eat and drink and making sure that I eliminate or at least minimize the unhealthy foods that I put in my body so that It doesn’t affect any of my training.

I wouldn’t really say I’ve ever emulated any certain player. I like to think of myself as my own player, who works hard and goes beyond what it takes to get the job done. However, If there was one player that I would emulate, it would probably be a taller version of Wes Welker. I love watching him and the way he plays the game every snap. I see myself being that type of player at the next level. But yes, I do think I am ready for the NFL.
