Beanie Wells Injures Ankle Injury Not Serious

Arizona Cardinals rookie RB Chris “Beanie” Wells left practice on a cart after injuring his left ankle on Saturday. The injury came less than a day after Wells, the 31st overall pick, agreed to a contract and joined the Cardinals in camp. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt did not speak about Wells’ injury on Saturday afternoon. The team’s website said that Wells’ status for Sunday’s practice is unknown. Lineman Jason Banks fell on Wells. KPNX-TV in Phoenix reported Wells was going to X-rays but that the injury was not believed to be serious.
