Sanders Out For Week 13

The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts S Bob Sanders (knee) will not play during Week 13. He did not make the trip with the team to Cleveland.

Soliai Suspended Again

The Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins backup DT Paul Soliai has been suspended for Week 13 for violation of unspecified team rules. He was suspended once already this season.

Vasher Placed On IR

The Associated Press reports the Chicago Bears have placed CB Nathan Vasher (hand) on season-ending Injured Reserve. He has a fractured hand and an injured thumb.

Knight Placed On IR

The Associated Press reports the New York Giants have placed S Sammy Knight (hip) on season-ending Injured Reserve.

M. Jones Hearing Update

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Matt Jones’ appeal hearing will be heard by the NFL Thursday, Dec. 4, regarding his violation of the league’s substance abuse policy. A ruling isn’t expected until the following week, which means Jones should be able to play in Week 14.

Burress Update

Updating a previous item, John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports New York Giants WR Plaxico Burress (hamstring, leg) suffered an accidental gunshot wound late Friday, Nov. 28, in a club, according to multiple sources. Details of the incident weren’t immediately available, but according to a source the wound was not considered life-threatening. The Giants organization was not commenting on the story.

Burress Accidentally Shoots Self In Leg

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports New York Giants WR Plaxico Burress (hamstring) accidentally shot himself in the leg Friday, Nov. 28. Burress spent the night in the hospital and the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The team is still trying to gather further information on the incident.

Fletcher Game-Time Decision For Week 13

The Associated Press reports Washington Redskins LB London Fletcher (foot) will be a game-time decision for Week 13. “It’s still up in the air,” Fletcher said. “I’m hopeful that I can play, but right now I couldn’t say definitively. … I’ve had injuries in the past, but I’ve just had to suck it up and deal with it. This one is a different type of injury than I’ve had before.” Fletcher has not missed a game in his 11-year NFL career, a streak of 171 games, including 130 starts.
