CBSSports.com reports arthroscopic knee surgery performed on Seattle Seahawks OT Walter Jones (knee) Thursday, Aug. 20, “went well,” according to team officials. Doctors removed scar tissue from surgery performed on Jones in December, and he is expected to miss four to six weeks.

Burress Pleads Guilty, Will Serve Two Years

The Associated Press reports unrestricted free-agent WR Plaxico Burress (Giants) pleaded guilty to one count of attempted criminal possession of a weapon Thursday, Aug. 20, as part of a plea agreement. As part of the agreement, Burress agreed to a two-year prison sentence and two years of supervised release.
