Julian Edelman suffers season-ending ACL tear in preseason game against Lions

Early in the first quarter of the Patriots’ preseason game against the Detroit Lions, receiver Julian Edelman went down with a knee injury. Ian Rapoport later reported that Edelman suffered an ACL injury, and an MRI confirmed the news Saturday: This seems to be a non-contact injury as he completed the catch and tweaked his knee on a cut.
