The Colts were busy after Sunday’s game as they promoted two players from the practice squad to the active roster. They signed two players to the practice squad as well.
According to Kevin Bowen from colts.com, the Colts promoted OLB Daniel Adongo and OT Xavier Nixon. Also they signed both FB Robert Hughes and DT Jeris Pendleton to the practice squad.
The Colts needed to make room for the two promotions so they put RB Daniel Herron and ILB Mario Harvey to the IR.
The Colts offensive line wasn’t great against the Titans so adding a tackle for depth purposes could be good for the team. Also I’m pleased to hear that Adongo has made progress from converting as a Rugby player to an NFL player.
Don’t see why the Colts added Hughes to the practice squad unless FB Stanley Havili has an undisclosed injury that the media hasn’t heard as of yet. However, Hughes does have experience with the Colts as he was in-and-out with the Colts the past two seasons so the move does sense.
Pendleton was the Jacksonville Jaguars 2012 seventh round pick. He has recorded only one tackle during his limited time on the field when he was with the Jaguars.
