American Athletic Conference

Central Florida 6-0 AAC: Controls own destiny. Remaining schedule includes a home contest with South Florida (2-8, 2-4) in week 14 and on the road at Southern Methodist (5-5, 4-2) in week 15. If the Knights win both remaining contests they are the outright champion with an undefeated conference record. If the Knights finish 1-1 and Cincinnati defeats Louisville in week 15, Central Florida would then have to finish ahead of Cincinnati in the BCS Standings for the BCS Bowl bid. A 1-1 finish and a Louisville win goes to the Knights, holding the head-to-head tie breaker over Louisville.

Cincinnati 6-1: Remaining schedule is a week 15 home contest against #20 Louisville (10-1, 6-1). Must defeat Louisville in week 15 and needs Central Florida to lose one of their remaining games. Then, Cincinnati would need to finish ahead of Central Florida in the BCS Standings for the BCS Bowl bid. If Central Florida loses both remaining games and the Bearcats defeat Louisville, Cincinnati clinches outright.

Louisville 6-1: Remaining schedule is a week 15 road game at Cincinnati (9-2, 6-1). Must defeat Cincinnati in week 15 and needs Central Florida to lose both of their remaining games. A 1-1 Central Florida finish would eliminate Louisville from the BCS bid, as the Knights hold the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Atlantic Coast Conference

Florida State 8-0: The Seminoles have clinched the Atlantic Division and a spot in the December 7th’s ACC Championship Game.

Duke 5-2: Controls own destiny for the Coastal Division title. Remaining schedule includes a road game at North Carolina (6-5, 4-3) in week 14. A win over the Tar Heels and Duke owns a spot versus Florida State.

Georgia Tech 5-3: The Yellow Jackets have finished ACC play and their remaining game is at home with rival Georgia in week 14. Georgia Tech needs losses from Duke, Virginia Tech, and Miami this week to clinch the Coastal Division.

Virginia Tech 4-3: Remaining schedule includes a road game at Virginia (2-9, 0-7) in week 14. A loss to Virginia would eliminate Virginia Tech from any Coastal Division title. The Hokies need to win their game and a Duke loss to create multiple scenarios to win the Coastal Division. Scenario 1: Duke loss, Virginia Tech win, and Miami win would clinch Virginia Tech the Coastal Division title. After finishing in a five-way tie between Duke, Virginia Tech, Miami, Georgia Tech and North Carolina, the Hokies would clinch because of their 3-1 record against the teams within that tie. Scenario 2: Duke Loss, Virginia Tech win, and Miami Loss would again clinch Virginia Tech the Coastal Division. This scenario creates a four-way tie between Duke, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and North Carolina. Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech would have the best record among the three others, but Virginia Tech’s win over Miami (42-24) gives the Hokies the best quality strength.

Miami 4-3: The Hurricanes remaining schedule includes a week 14 road contest at Pittsburgh (6-5, 3-4). Miami’s hopes lie in the hands of a Duke and Virginia Tech loss, assuming a win by the Hurricanes. In this scenario Miami, Georgia Tech, Duke, and North Carolina would tie for the Coastal Division title. Georgia Tech and Miami have the best records (2-1) against the three others and Miami boasts a win over Georgia Tech in early October to give them the Coastal title. A loss from Miami eliminates their hopes.

Big 12 Conference

Oklahoma State 7-1: Controls own destiny for Big 12 championship and trip to the Fiesta Bowl. Remaining schedule includes a home contest with #20 Oklahoma (9-2, 6-2) in week 14. Scenario 1: Oklahoma State wins and they become conference champions. Scenario 2: Oklahoma State loss, Texas loss to Texas Tech, Baylor win versus TCU, and a Texas win over Baylor in week 15. The Cowboys would hold a 7-2 conference record, Texas 7-2, and Baylor 7-2 but Oklahoma State holds the head-to-head edge. Scenario 3: Oklahoma State loss, Texas win versus Texas Tech, Baylor loss versus TCU, and a Baylor win over Texas. Once again all would have a 7-2 conference record, but the Cowboys would have the head-to-head advantage.

Baylor 6-1: Remaining schedule includes a week 14 road contest at TCU (4-7, 2-6) and week 15 at home with Texas (7-3, 6-1). The Bears need to win both remaining games and an Oklahoma State loss to Oklahoma. A loss in one of the final two games by the Bears eliminates them from any contention.

Texas 6-1: Remaining schedule includes a week 14 home contest with Texas Tech (7-4, 4-4) and on the road in week 15 at Baylor (9-1, 6-1). The Longhorns need to win both remaining games and an Oklahoma State loss to Oklahoma. A loss in one the final two games by the Longhorns eliminates them from any contention.

University Texas at San Antonio 5-2: Remaining schedule includes a week 14 home contest with Louisiana Tech (4-7, 3-4). UTSA clinches the West Division Title with a win over Louisiana Tech and a Tulane win versus Rice. A loss this week will knock UTSA out of contention.

Tulane 5-2: Remaining schedule includes a week 14 road contest at Rice (8-3, 6-1). Tulane clinches the West Division Title with a win over Rice and an UTSA loss to Louisiana Tech.

Southeastern Conference

Missouri 6-1: Controls own destiny for the East Division title and a spot in the SEC Championship Game. Remaining schedule includes a week 14 home contest with #21 Texas A&M (8-3, 4-3). A win over Texas A&M clinches the East and a loss eliminates the Tiger’s contention.

South Carolina 6-2: Has finished SEC conference play and its remaining game includes a non-conference contest with #6 Clemson. A Texas A&M win over Missouri clinches South Carolina the East Division title.

Alabama 7-0: Controls own destiny for the West Division title and a spot in the SEC Championship Game. Remaining schedule includes a week 14 road contest at #4 Auburn (10-1, 6-1). A win over Auburn clinches the West and a loss eliminates the Crimson Tide from contention.

Auburn 6-1: Remaining schedule includes a week 14 home contest with #1 Alabama (11-0, 7-0). A win over Alabama clinches the West Division title and a loss eliminates the Tigers from contention.

Sun Belt Conference

Louisiana-Lafayette 5-0: Controls own destiny for the Sun Belt conference championship. Remaining schedule includes a week 14 home contest with UL Monroe (5-6, 3-3) and a week 15 road contest at South Alabama (4-6, 2-3).
