Colts Injury Alert: Ahmad Bradshaw Done for the Season; Season-Ending Neck Surgery

If depth issue wasn’t a problem for the Colts, now the Colts will have to somehow fix the running back depth issue. According to Pro Football Talk, a league source told PFT that Ahmad Bradshaw will go through the season-ending neck surgery which was later confirmed by head coach Chuck Pagano.

This will be the second Colts running back that will go through a season-ending injury this season and the Colts haven’t gone through their bye week yet.

This will be the opportunity that RB Trent Richardson was waiting for now that he is undeniably the starting running back for the Colts. It does help that Richardson will go against a Chargers team which he torched last year when he rushed for 122 yards on 24 carries via Kevin Bowen from Colts.com.

Roster Moves:

According to Mike Chappell from Indystar.com, the Colts waived FB Robert Hughes from the active roster and RB Kerwynn Williams from the practice squad and the Colts placed RB Ahmad Bradshaw on the IR. With these roster moves, the Colts signed this morning RB Daniel Herron from Bengals practice squad and former Chiefs LB Andy Studebaker via Chappell from Indystar.com.

Injury Report:

Both FB Stanley Havili and S LaRon Landry are looking good and might practice at the end of this week via Mike Chappell from Indystar.com. DL Ricky Jean Francois might practice on Wednesday (today) via Chappell from Indystar.com. Hopefully all three players play on Monday. Landry was especially missed because the Colts missed 13 tackles on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks via Pro Football Focus.
