Colts Week Three: Thursday’s Injury Update and Roster Move

As Thursday Colts practice finished, there were some notable injuries that caused some players to miss practice. The following are Colts players that participated at practice fully, had a limited practice or didn’t practice at all via George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin:

Full practice: ILB Kavell Conner (ankle), WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (ribs), WR David Reed (quad), C Samson Satele (elbow), and WR Reggie Wayne (shoulder) all participated fully in Thursday’s practice.

Limited practice: WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) had a limited practice on Thursday.

DNP: TE Dwayne Allen (hip/season-ending injury), ILB Pat Angerer (knee), S Antoine Bethea (toe), and S Ron Landry (ankle) did not participate in Thursday’s practice.

Even though both Bethea and Landry had not participated in practice since Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins, Chuck Pagano is optimistic that both of them will be on the field on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.

RB Trent Richardson will play on Sunday: Chuck Pagano confirmed on a press conference today that RB Trent Richardson will play on Sunday against the favorite San Francisco 49ers via Phillip Wilson of indystar.com. However it does not mean that Richardson will play a lot on Sunday. In fact, to determine how much Richardson will play it will depend on Richardson himself.

Da’Rick Rogers promoted to the active roster: After failing to make it to the Buffalo Bills roster, Da’Rick Rogers now has a chance to make a name for himself because on Sunday he will be a part of the 53-man roster via Rotoworld Football. It seems that after TE Dwayne Allen went through a season-ending injury, that the Colts might change their plays by going more three-WR sets. Good news for every Colts fan that was tired of seeing constant two-three TE sets.
