Philadelphia Eagles Activate Vinny Curry Against The Kansas City Cheifs

The Philadelphia Eagles have activated last year’s second round pick Vinny Curry for the first time this season, and only his seventh active game of his career. The Eagles had high hopes for Curry when they drafted him in the second round last year as a defensive end. He is more suited to the 3-4 defense that the Eagles are running this year and should be a force once he gets in the game.

The coaches only let him dress for six games last year, but he looked effective when he was in the game. He played well in the preseason with seven tackles, four QB hits, and 1.5 sacks. Whenever Curry was on the field it seemed that, although he didn’t get many sacks, he was always the one to rush the ball out of the quarterbacks hand.

Look for Curry to be in the rotation at defensive end tonight against the Chiefs. He will likely be sharing much of Cedric Thornton’s time.
