The Miami Dolphins have signed guard Danny Watkins today. Watkins, 28, is a former first round pick of the Eagles in 2011. He was released over the weekend as the Eagles got down to the 53 man roster limit. Watkins has struggled in his 2 years in the NFL, appearing in 23 games and starting 18. Watkins will likely be used as the primary guard backup behind starters Richie Incognito and John Jerry.
To make room for Watkins on the roster, the team has waived Guard/Center Josh Samuda.
