Since the day of Robert Griffin III knee surgery, RGIII has had his eye’s Fixed and focused on Week 1. As RGIII says via twitter “Operation Patience….Complete. Cleared. To God Be The Glory.” The mission he set for himself to be back on the field healthy and ready to go has been accomplished. As we have seen for weeks end, Robert Griffin III’s progress was moving along at a rapid rate and it was obvious that he would be cleared by Dr. James Andrews tonight. Robert Griffin III has looked amazing in team warm ups before games and in practice. As Mike Shanahan stated if he has no setbacks he would be able to have the chance to play week one and here we are.
The first step has been completed and now we will await to see if he will actually start against the Eagles. Mike Shanahan did not confirm that Griffin would start against the Eagles on Sept. 9. Shanahan noted that Dr. Andrews had “a few concerns” and he said that he would talk to Griffin over the weekend and that he would “let you know on Monday where we’re at.” We will have to what and see if RGIII will actually start but all signs point to him doing so.
