Matt Flynn is Raiders’ starting QB — for now

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen has made it clear that Matt Flynn will be the starting quarterback in Oakland this season. Allen stated that Terrelle Pryor and rookie Tyler Wilson face an “uphill” battle to take the starting spot from Flynn. Flynn has been through a similar situation just one offseason ago in Seattle. He was ready to be the starter for the Seahawks after accepting a three-year-deal worth $26 million to leave Green Bay — however, a few months later Flynn was holding the clipboard for breakout star rookie Russell Wilson. Could Flynn get upstaged by another Wilson? For now, the answer appears to be no.
