#58 Overall to the last pick in the 2nd round #62

#58 overall the Denver Broncos select RB Montee Ball Wisconsin

Ball is known for the touchdown king of recent years. He does a good job at attacking piles and pushing it. A physical back who lowers his shoulders routinely. He will need to execute his pass protection a great deal. We should not be seeing Ball take it to the house due to his overall speed. He has great vision while hitting the hole. The Broncos were in need of a running back. I thought for sure Johnathan Franklin would have been the pick due to his ability to pass protect.

#59 overall the New England Patriots select WR Aaron Dobson Marshall

Dobson is a great pick here, but with Keenan Allen there it is questionable. Dobson is a highlight reel receiver who has tremendous hands. He will need to work on his route running skills as he is raw yet. Dobson could end up being a very very good receiver and have a long NFL career. You cannot teach catching the ball at the point and Dobson has a pair of hands that can resemble Mohammed Sanu’s.

#60 overall the Atlanta Falcons select CB Robert Alford Southeastern Louisiana.

A great pick for the Falcons. They were in need of a CB with losing both starters. Alford is the most interesting player from a small school this year. He has the tools to be great. He is extremely strong at 188 lbs as he had 19 reps. He is a quick footed corner who can jam the receiver at the point of attack. He has a skill set that could shut down quick footed slot receivers as the slot is where he should thrive. Alford is a willing tackler and could be the steal of the draft.

#61 overall the Green Bay Packers select RB Eddie Lacy Alabama

A solid pick for the packers. Lacy fell due to injury concerns. Lacy does everything well. He is a physical runner who has great vision. He’s well known for his famous spin move. He throws defenders off of him and may not have tested well in the 40 but can take it to the house any time. A good pick for the Packers who have needed a real running back since Ahman Green.

#62 overall the Seattle Seahawks select Christine Michael Texas A&M

Another physical running back who has quick feet. Michael is an off field problem who some viewed as the most talented running back this year. Michael is good coming out of the back field in passing routes. He’s a player that goes to the boom or bust category. With Turbin and Lynch Michael is a part of a crowded backfield.
