The Detroit Lions and quarterback Matthew Stafford are reportedly close on a new mega deal that would be worth well north of $100 million according to the Detroit Free Press. Stafford still has two years left on his original rookie contract, which was six-years, $72 million. Stafford’s contract isn’t expected to approach Joe Flacco’s new deal or Aaron Rodgers pending deal, however, the Lions are set to break the bank for their franchise quarterback.
