Patriots Hoping to Replace Welker

Days after losing Tom Brady’s favorite target, Wes Welker in free agency to the Broncos, the Patriots are working to find replacements.  The Patriots signed former Rams slot receiver Danny Amendola to 5 year deal along with former Buffalo Wide Receiver Donald Jones to a 3 year deal. Amendola racked in some good numbers last year with the Rams despite  suffering injury, catching 63 passes for 666 yards and 3 touchdowns. If he can stay healthy for the Patriots he will be Tom Brady’s main target and will flourish in a similar role to what Welker had in New England.
Jones totaled 443 yards last year and four touchdowns after starting in 10 games for the Bills.  Former Steelers Receiver Emanuel Sanders is visiting with the Patriots today.  Sanders is a restricted free agent, but it seems the Steelers may not have the cap space to match the Patriots offer.  In 2012 Sanders hauled in 44 receptions for 626 yards but just 1 touchdown.
