Eagles Keeping Vick For Now

The Philadelphia Eagles are looking past the February 6th deadline with QB Michael Vick and will hold onto him until they decide what to do with him. The Eagles if they do think he will not fit in Chip Kelly’s plans will try to trade him. Much has been made of the February 6 date simply because $3 million of Vick’s 2013 salary becomes guaranteed if he’s on the roster at that time. But, reports have come out recently that the $3 million is only “guaranteed” if the Eagles cut him and no other team picks him up, which certainly wouldn’t happen.
