The Washington Redskins did some amazing things in 2012. The Redskins come out swinging in game one scoring 40 in the season opener and showing promise. A few injuries and bad defensive plays later the Skins were looking at a 3-6 record and last in the division. After the bye they go on an amazing run, one 4th Quarter comeback and a game missed by RGIII and the Skins knock down 7 games to take the division title and host their first playoff game since 1999.

With all the success and the strides made by this team this year, does the injury to Robert Griffin III taint this seasons successes? NO. Many have their personal takes and opinions on whether Griffin III should have been removed from the game in the 2nd Quarter. Others may question how the entire process was handled by the team and the doctors. The fact is that unforeseen occurrences can happen. Obviously the doctors felt that this “Sprain” Errr torn LCL wouldn’t result in Griffin going down the way he did.

The Fact that he had his ACL reworked tells me that it wasn’t really done well the first time. So who’s to say that in time he wouldn’t have suffered an ACL injury a year or two from now.

The Redskins far exceeded anyone’s expectations; most were looking at this team and saying they would only go 5-11, 6-10 at the beginning of the year.
To go even farther when the Redskins were sitting at 3-6 most fans were calling for the heads of the Shanahans and Haslett. Despite key injuries and suspensions on the defensive side of the ball they persevered. Haslett found a way to put his guys in better position to help this offense and team win football games.

For the First time I can look at these organization and say we have a group of people who know what they’re doing an have put together a team that believes in selflessness. This being preached by the man they drafted to be the franchise Robert Griffin III. They believe in there leader and well do anything for him and this team. It’s something we have been missing for many years.

Yes we have our concerns about RGIII’s recovery going in to next year but that is next year. This Year We are 2012 NFC EAST DIVISION CHAMPS and NO injury can take that from us.
