Redskins’ McIntosh Negotiating Contract Extension

Washington Redskins linebacker Rocky McIntosh is hoping to be Redskin for as long as he can be, and is looking for a contract extension and he may get his wish.  Agent Drew Rosenhaus told Alex Marvez from FOXSports.com that he met with Redskins officials Thursday morning to discuss a contract extension for McIntosh, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract. Despite having suffered two torn knee ligaments in late 2007, McIntosh returned last season to start a career-high 15 games at weak-side linebacker. He finished with 87 tackles, two sacks and five passes defensed. McIntosh also notched his first career interception.
