Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew agreed to terms Wednesday on a long-term contract extension, according to team sources. Terms of the deal weren’t immediately disclosed, but the club plans to announce the move today during a press conference at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. A fourth-year veteran, Jones-Drew was seeking an extension that would make him among the league’s highest-paid players at his position. The club offered Jones-Drew an extension earlier in the offseason, and despite the sides being close on the guaranteed portion (nearly $20 million) of the deal, they couldn’t agree to the total value of the package.
