Second Place: Not a chance

By PFC Writer JP King

So yeah, here we are with another week behind us, and another chance for us to keep everyone posted about what’s going on in the exciting world of the NFL. Now, as we all know (or at least we should know), the Pittsburgh Steelers are this year’s Super Bowl Champs. Now, I know what you’re thinking, you probably think I’m just pointing out the obvious, or that I’ve completely lost it.

Well, you’re all half-right, I lost it a long time ago, but I want to talk about the team who played the Steelers in this year’s Super Bowl, who lost: The Arizona Cardinals. Although most of us tend to forget about things like second place, or runner-up, I would like to focus on the team the Cardinals plan on having next season. However, in order to go forward we must go backwards and take a look at the Cardinals and their past performance this last year.

The Cardinals had an impressive season this last year scoring a total of 427 points with 401 completed passes, and gaining 4,583 passing yards. Also, based upon the overall history of the team, this franchise has been long waiting and standing for their chance at success and glory, and even though they came up short, everyone should look for these guys to have a great season next year. Thus, who knows maybe the Cardinals came up short this time around, but if they make it to the dance again, who says that history has to repeat itself? I’m sure Arizona wouldn’t want it to, and they’ll stop at nothing to win it all.

What was that you said? Did you say that you disagree with a first place guy such as yours truly? Well, all I can say is that not many of us like losing, but do you know what’s worse than losing or coming up short? The answer is losing twice and coming up short again! So let’s get ready for next season, and let’s get ready for the Cardinals to give it their all to make it to the big dance. As always feel free to give me any flack about it, because after all that’s what I’m here for.
