The Tennessee Titans placed the non -exclusive franchise tag on tight end Bo Scaife today, according to Adam Caplan of Scout.com. Scaife will count $4.462 million against the 2009 salary cap. Citing a source, Caplan reports that negotiations went on until late Thursday morning before the decision was made to use the franchise tag. However, the two sides didn’t get close enough to strike a deal.
