Buccaneers Name Jagodzinski Offensive Coordinator

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers named former Boston College head coach Jeff Jagodzinski offensive coordinator on Thursday. The 45-year-old Jagodzinski compiled a 21-7 record over two seasons at Boston College, which included a 9-5 mark this year, and a loss to Vanderbilt in the Music City Bowl. However, he was fired with three years remaining on his contract earlier in January a day after Jagodzinski met with the New York Jets about their previous head coaching vacancy, which was later filled by Rex Ryan. Jagodzinski was told by BC athletic director and friend Gene DeFilippo that he would be fired if he met with personnel for an NFL team.
