Kent Babb, of The Kansas City Star, reports former head coach Bill Cowher will not become the Kansas City Chiefs next head coach. “It’s not going to happen,” according to a source close to Cowher. The source said Cowher has reiterated to friends and colleagues over the past few months that he has no desire to coach in 2009. Cowher hasn’t spoken with any NFL team about a vacancy this offseason, and the source said the Chiefs could not pry Cowher out of the broadcasting booth.
