Ross Becomes Majority Owner Of The Dolphins

The Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins co-owner Stephen Ross has become the majority owner of team while Wayne Huizenga has retained a five percent interest in the team. The two businessmen reached an agreement Tuesday, Jan. 20, to complete a deal forged February 2008. At that time Ross bought 50 percent of the franchise, Dolphin Stadium and surrounding land from Huizenga for $550 million, with an agreement that Ross would later become managing general partner.
