Rams Insist Garrett Not Offered Coaching Job Yet

Jim Thomas and Bill Coats, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, report St. Louis Rams general manager Billy Devaney insisted that the team’s head coaching job was not being offered to Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, even though Garrett arrived in St. Louis Friday, Jan. 16, for a “second interview.” Devaney described Garrett’s presence in St. Louis as “part of the interview process.” Devaney added, “Jason didn’t know much about St. Louis, and he wanted to look at the facility. We’re not close to moving on Jason Garrett. I’m not even going to say he’s the leading guy.”
