Tomlinson Had Pain-Killing Injection Before Game

NBC Sports reports San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson (groin) took a pain-killing injection before the team’s Wild Card game against the Indianapolis Colts. He rushed five times for 25 yards and one touchdown before leaving the game for good.

Sproles Shines In Playoff Win

San Diego Chargers RB Darren Sproles shined during the team’s Wild Card victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Sproles carried the ball 22 times for 105 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning touchdown in overtime. He also had five receptions for 45 yards.

Tomlinson Wanted To Continue Playing

San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner said RB LaDainian Tomlinson (groin) wanted to play during the second half of the team’s victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Tomlinson, however, was not able to play due to the groin injury he entered the game with. He saw limited carries during the first half before spending the rest of the game on the sidelines.
