He is listed as questionable for the game. If the New England Patriots lose and the Ravens clinch before the game, Mason will likely sit out. However, he would play if the Ravens would still need to win to reach the playoffs.

Raiders RE Kalimba Edwards (wrist) has been ruled out for Week 17.

Brooks Future Uncertain In Tampa

NFL.com’s Adam Schefter suggests that this could be WLB Derrick Brooks’ last season in Tampa Bay.
Brooks turns 36 next April, and while he’s started every game in 2008, is wearing down. He’s signed through 2009, however, and counts only $3.5 million against the cap. The Bucs do have a ready-made replacement in Cato June, but moving him to the weak side just to get rid of Brooks would leave a big hole at SAM linebacker.

Garcia Upgraded To Probable

Bucs QB Jeff Garcia (calf) has been upgraded to probable for this week’s game against the Raiders.

Burleson Ahead Of Schedule For 09

Seattle Seahawks WR Nate Burleson says his torn ACL is rehabbing ahead of schedule and vows to be ready for the start of 2009 training camp. Burleson added that he’ll start a running program shortly. The 27-year-old wide receiver is nearly four months removed from the injury and should be back on the field at least in “limited” fashion this spring, but there are no guarantees for Burleson with a new coaching staff taking over in Seattle.

Lendale White Questionable For Sunday

LenDale White is listed as questionable for Week 17 with an undisclosed illness.

Holt Mum On Rams Future

Asked Friday if he’d like to return to the Rams in 2009, Torry Holt again replied “no comment.” The writing on the wall has pointed to this divorce since 2007, with Holt chewing out then-coach Scott Linehan on the sidelines and this year asking out of games. Sounding like he’s played his last game for the Rams, Holt said Friday “It’s definitely been an incredible run, an incredible 10 years, and I have no regrets.”

McFadden Expected To Play Sunday

Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden is listed as questionable for Week 17 with an ankle injury, but is expected to face Tampa Bay. He practiced fully on Friday and will split carries with Justin Fargas on Sunday. McFadden received a rookie season-high 17 touches in Week 16.
