Larry Johnson To Face Assault Charge

Chiefs running back Larry Johnson is scheduled to face a simple assault charge in a Kansas City court in December. A 26-year-old woman has charged Johnson with using an open hand to shove her in the face in a nightclub. Johnson emerged from his two prior legal incidents without convictions. In 2003, he was accused of aggravated assault and misdemeanor domestic battery for allegedly brandishing a gun during an argument with a former girlfriend. In 2005 another woman accused Johnson of assaulting her in a nightclub but later changed her story. The Chiefs have yet to comment on Johnson’s present legal situation.
