Pacman Needs To Earn The Name Mr. Jones

Last week Dallas Cowboy cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones asked people to drop his nickname “Pacman” and be referred to simply as “Adam” or “Mr. Jones”. In my opinion, after all the mischief he has been involved in, he needs to first earn it by staying out of trouble. Jones has been arrested six times since he joined the NFL in 2005 and if I recall correctly, Irvin was busted with a hooker and an 8 ball (explain what an 8 ball is) in a hotel. He now thinks he’s a changed man just because he’s been recently mentored by Ex-Cowboy legends Deion Sanders and Michael Irvin.

Respect in life is earned, not asked for, especially by a person known to be a thug and as having no regard for human life; did I mention he was also involved in a Las Vegas shooting that left a man paralyzed?! So, although he wants to become a new person, he must first prove to everyone that he has changed his ways.

This doesn’t just mean staying out of trouble with the law, it includes respect for people on and off the football field. Everyone deserves a second chance, but do they deserve seven?? Dallas now will field a bizarre mix of characters, T.O., Pacman, and Tank Johnson.

They have the talent to go to the Super bowl in big D, but does the team have enough room for these big egos and past troublemakers? That will be the major factor if they do go to the big game, not talent!!!
