Rookie Contract Discussions Begin

The Associated Press reports NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said it is ridiculous to reward rookies with lucrative contracts and wants to address the issue. Goodell stated that there is something wrong with the system and that money should go to people who perform. He said he favors lowering contracts but would allow players who perform to renegotiate their deals.
