My Words: PFC Journal Of Vikings Rookie WR Jaymar Johnson

June 8th, 2008 · No Comments

Here is the second installment of my words by Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jaymar Johnson.

Sunday June 8, 2008

I am at camp right now rehabbing my strained hamstring but camp is going good for me. For me, right now I’m learning a lot by watching the more experienced players. I’m learning a lot from Robert Ferguson right now. The biggest challenge at camp right now is getting back to being healthy again. At camp right now my roommate is Husain Abdullah and he is a very good guy. As far as pressure for me right now there is none because I am just trying extra hard to get back to being healthy.  As far as what my role is, my role is to make plays wherever it is whether its special teams or on offense. I think the media is pretty good to me right now but I don’t think anyone really knows my true ability because of the school I went to. Also as far as the comments that were made out there comparing me to Troy Williamson, I don’t listen to them and that’s not to disrespect Troy but it’s because I am my own person and will prove that soon.
