What have you been up to the past few weeks?

Glad that you asked, the last couple of weeks have been crazy for me. My Non-profit foundation “The Empowerment M.i.n.d.s.” Foundation has kept me really busy. Motivating & Inspiring Neighborhoods Determined to Succeed.The 1st event was for cigar Lovers, its a fund Raiser for the foundation and this is a Cigar lovers Dream. This event was back by popular demand, the “3 sisters event planning” business once again did an excellent job putting on this annual event. If you like Cigars this is the place to be, there’s over 40 to 50 Cigar vendors that come out to support this event. It’s like trick or treat for Cigar lovers and you get a bag and a card to go to each vendor while they stuff your bag full of exotic cigars, plus there’s drinks, food, live music, silent auction, and a huge raffle there as well. The event was completely sold out and I had over 20 of my teammates support this event.

Most importantly my fiance’ and I have been preparing for the most important day of our lives,for our wedding, it’s right around the Corner like 35 days 16 hours and 22 minutes till that day come so its getting really exciting can’t wait.

Then came May 17th the 2nd Annual Miniature Golf Classic, this is a family oriented event that gets the whole family out of the house and over 20 of my teammates appeared at this event as well.This event also had a D.J. (Mr. Incredible) a silent auction, and a raffle. The kids took home some really awesome prizes like a Wii game, Power Wheel vehicles, and a digital camera..Also the parents won gifts thru out the tournament. This event was also put together by the “3 sisters Event Planning” team..Then that same night I spent in a hospital with a really good friend of mine that was injured working on his golf game. HBO’s own Nathan Corbett a.k.a. “Doughnut” from the hit series “The Wire”. He had to have emergency surgery on his eye.,which incase anyone is wondering he’s doing really well as of today. Nate your in my prayers lil bro.

I also spent the Saturday before in a 5K run for ALS. A really good friend of mine has been diagnosed with this and I HAD to show my support even with a bad toe I was able to walk the whole thing and I didn’t come in last by a long shot… lol

How were OTA’s?

OTA’s haven’t really started yet they come up next week actually so far we have broke history. Our 1st Official OTA was a special teams practice, as of my knowledge of the game we are the 1st team ever to have a OTA day designated for only Special teams. So we better be darn good this year.

Compare these OTA’s to Billicks OTA’s?

This year we have had 3 mini camps with Billick things were a lot different around here. This isn’t the 1st team I’ve been on with a 1st year head coach so I’m kind of use to this routine. My rookie year with the Jets former head coach Herman Edwards. My second year with the Bucs coach Gruden and now this year with the Ravens coach Harbaugh. He has already started to push us really hard and I know by the end of this training camp we will be pushed to our limits and back. With Billick a lot of us already knew our roles but now we have been kicked right out of our comfort zones and no one knows what’s going to happen next.The practices are more intense more physical and goes at a much faster pace, which of course will take some getting use too but for the most part football is football and this is something that we have done all our lives so that won’t change.We have to learn how to protect ourselves better out there because were like a pack of hungry wolves. There is opportunity out there and guys are hungry for it and just so you know two-a-days are the worst especially in April and May, that’s not what’s hot on the streets now-a-days… lol

Is Harbaugh trying to be strict off the bat or a players coach?

I think a little bit of both. It’s important for any new head coach to put his stamp on things and he’s definitely doing that but at the same times he love this game and you can see it.He interacts with us quite often and he’s always into a conversation with us.He wants to know us,his players and we want to know him.

What do u think your role will be this year?

Right now my role is to learn Cam’s offense and more importantly to get healthy,then my real role will present itself until then I honestly don’t know.I’m praying for brighter days right now and will look forward to seeking my role, so stay tuned.

Thoughts on who u think will start game 1 at the quarterback position?

As far as QB’s its honestly hard to tell both Kyle, and Troy both, are looking great.Kyle a 1st round Pick, Troy’s a Hiesman Trophy winner, and Flacco is also a first round pick.Kyle has plenty of starts in this league and experience, Troy has very little experience and 1 or 2 starts in this league and Flacco has Delaware state to his resume but truth be told football is football and all three of these guys can flat out play, and they all have years of football experience. Nothing changes but the level of competition, and the speed, okay and maybe the over all athletic ability… lol… We will see, they all look really good to me.

How has Joe Flacco looked?

Flacco looks great, he has to maintain plenty of poise so far but then again, we are in jerseys and shorts so only time will tell.

How has Ray Rice looked?

Rice seems eager to get it on and with this defense that will come quick so lets talk about that in August… lol…

Any rookie hazing yet? If so what has happened ?
