Pros: Phillips has good speed and agility. He has great athleticism and instincts. Phillips has tremendous ball skills and has great range. He is a good tackler and is an impact in stopping the run. He is a team leader and goes full speed all the time. Phillips came from the same program that produced standout safeties Ed Reed and Sean Taylor.
Cons: After a standout sophomore season, Phillips didn’t live up to expectations in his junior season. He plays too high and has a tough time getting off of blocks. He has had some injury issues in the past. He tends to bite on pump fakes.
