Here are the Pros and Cons of Ohio State defensive end Vernon Gholston

By PFC Draft Writer Jonathan Zenk
Vernon Gholston, DE, Ohio State
Pros: Gholston is very quick off the ball and can run around or overpower you on his way to the quarterback. He is also strong at the point of attack and is incredibly strong. Along with Long, Gholston has a tremedous motor as well and he is very versatile. He is great at getting to the quarterback and is very good in pursuit as well as a good tackler. He works hard and will only get better.

Cons: Gholston doesn’t have great explosiveness in tackling and he needs to use his hands better. He doesn’t have great instincts and has a few durability concerns. He is a bit undersized and will need to be more consistant to make it in the NFL.
