Pros: Merling has great quickness as well as size and bulk. He has very good strength and is good in pursuit. He is a pretty good run stopping defensive end and is a good tackler. He is also very versatile.
Cons: He lacks an elite burst off of the snap and doesn’t have great speed to catch up. Merling isn’t a great athlete overall. He doesn’t use his hands as well he should.
