Pros

Derrick Harvey has very good athleticism for his size and has a pretty big frame with large arms. In the NFL, you will have to have a good motor and Harvey definitely has a pretty good motor and definitely does not stop until the whistle is blown. His instincts are very good and his field awareness is bar none, pretty impressive. A lot of defensive ends in this draft, have a problem with the run, well the Florida defensive end does not have that problem. The last thing that Harvey really doesn’t get credit for, are his nasty demeanor and on the field he is really aggressive.

Cons 

Harvey doesn’t really have elite speed and will definitely need to work on his speed off the line. When you look at defensive end Dwight Freeney, he has several moves to get pass the lineman and Harvey really doesn’t have a lot of moves and will definitely need to improve is hand use. NFL scouts are definitely concerned with those hands due to the fact that when linemen have him, he doesn’t do a good enough job, shedding those linemen.
