Here are the Pros and Cons of LSU wide receiver Early Doucet

Pros

Early Doucet is a very good natural athlete who has good size and a good frame. His hands have not gotten enough press and that is a shame. Doucet is very strong and does a wonderful job pushing the corner back to make the catch. The fact that Doucet is strong also means that he is very difficult to tackle in the open field. One thing that coaches cant teach is field vision and Doucet has pretty good field vision and he also runs really well after the catch. Unlike some other receivers in this draft, Doucet is a very good deep threat who is also a terrific blocker and can also be a pretty good kick/punt returner.

Cons

One pretty big knack on Doucet is his speed and his durability which would result in a difficult time seperating himself from the corner.. Doucet also in college, had trouble beating the jam and will definately need to work on this at the pro level. Another big knock on Doucet is that he was never the number 1 wideout at LSU and some scouts fear that the pressure of being a number 1 wideout may distract Doucet and that he is a better complimentary receiver.
