Here are the Pros and Cons of Boston College offensive lineman Gosder Cherilus.
Pros
Gosder Cherilus has excellent size with a pretty huge frame to go along with huge arms. He will definately be a pretty good offensive lineman with the ability to have great reach and do a great job with the run. For his size 6′6 314, he can be very mobile. One of the things that coaches can’t teach is how smart this player is. He is very very aware and can read a blitz very easily and does a great job at the point of attack. He works very hard and defenders at the Pro level will have a hard time pushing him off them once he has them. Cherilus, unlike many lineman in this draft played in a top notch conferance and comes from a very good program in Boston College.
Cons
Cherilus does have trouble with speedy edge rushes which in the NFL, there will be alot of those. For his size he definately needs to be more agressive and avoid blocking so high. He also got into a little trouble off the field and needs to make sure he gets that under wraps.
