The New York Post ran a story that claimed Coles’ deal was extended, but that reportedly isn’t the case. Coles’ base salaries of $5 million this season and $6 million in 2009 remain intact. Coles is only 31, but as a smaller player who often plays through injury, we’d watch out for an early decline. A shaky quarterback situation won’t help his fantasy value in 2008.
