Pros And Cons: Darren McFadden RB Arkansas

March 26th, 2008 · No Comments

Here are the pros and cons for Arkansas running back Darren McFadden by PFC Draft reporter Jonathon Zenk

Pros: McFadden has amazing speed and has the vision to see the cutback lanes and the explosiveness to break away from defenders and the strength to potentially run over defenders.. A real home run threat. He has pretty good hands. McFadden is willing to take on the blitz. He also could be a returner. He has a little bit of Adrian Peterson in him.

Cons: McFadden has never had to carry the whole load. His last few years when he broke out, he had Felix Jones to relieve him when needed. He has some character issues, but scouts say that the character issues aren’t a major problem. He runs a little bit too upright, so he is liable to big hits. He is a willing blocker, but he could still improve his blocking.
