Bucs Sign Eugene Wilson

March 14th, 2008 · No Comments

Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have reached an agreement on a one-year contract with free agent defensive back Eugene Wilson. Per Schefter, the contract is a one-year, $1.8 million deal that includes $500,000 guaranteed and $400,000 in incentives, which could bring the total value to the contract to $2.2 million. Wilson, who has played his entire five-year career with the New England Patriots, is versatile enough to play anywhere in the secondary, but the Buccaneers plan to play him at cornerback. Wilson started six games at safety for the Patriots last year.
