Former Panthers backup quarterback David Carr has agreed to terms with the New York Giants on a one-year contract, according to a league source close to the situation. Carr is expected to be the top backup behind Eli Manning for the defending Super Bowl champions. In New York, Carr will be reunited with assistant coach Chris Palmer, who served as offensive coordinator when Carr was with the Houston Texans.
